could anyone tell me if these are good for my little pikkle... he seems to love them, i have them frozen for my fishies and i pop em in the microwave and he laps em up... i figured theyre bug-like, and low fat... any downfalls i should know about or let him enjoy??

2) What kind of heating pads do you use? Are they cordless?

i am v. worried. qbert hasn't been eating or drinking. i realized this when i checked on the water and it hadn't gone down at all, and the food hadn't been eaten. he has lost a lot of weight and i don't think he has the strength to get water out of the thingy anymore. i even got some meal worms and he perked up and ran around like he was hungry, ( Read more... )

Thanks for the input on my last entry. I bought Royal Canin Lite 37 and mixed it with the pretty pets, qbert seemed to eat both of them so I'm glad he likes the RCL. much, much better for him. And it's great that PetSmart sells $1.99 sample bags, before i spent the $13 for the big bag! i also got him a play pen so hopefully he will get used to me ( Read more... )

Is it okay to wake a hedgehog up for lap-time? Sophie gets up after I go to bed and goes to bed when I get up, which makes it difficult to socialize her. She does get up in the evening to eat and run and poop, but she's very good at timing this for when I'm busy doing other things. I've been having some trouble feeding Vincent. When I bought him, I got some high-protein cat food and some hedgehog food. I've been giving him a 50/50 mix of the two, but he'll only eat the cat food, and I don't want him getting pudgy. Night before last, I gave Am a bath (I spritz her with a spray bottle, then scrub her spikes with a toothbrush), and then thought I'd let her play in the water cuz I've heard some of 'em like it. In light of a previous post about hedgies treats.... What does everybody else's babies like for treats??

So meal worms are said to be a hedgehogs chocolate. here is my question, my Hedgehog only eats half of them then she won't touch the rest. Is this normal? what should i do if anything?
